GRAHAM TYLER - ABOUT ME

COMMUNITY MATTERS TO ME

West Sussex County Council delivers 80% of your local services and as a Councillor I believe it is my duty to ensure your voice is heard at County Hall. We have enjoyed an excellent voice in the past through Peter Moor (retiring) and I will continue this tradition.

Our community is my No.1 Priority and I pledge to:

Seek an end to vandalism and anti-social behaviour

Encourage more liaisons and improve facilities for our young people

Continue to ensure older residents concerns are listened to and acted upon

Work in partnership between Rustington Parish council and West Sussex County Council for the benefit of Rustington

I have met and worked with many residents and organisations in the past few years and hope to meet many more in the coming weeks. I would welcome your views and ideas so do contact me on 0787 664 6012 or email gtyler2@btinternet.com.

ABOUT ME

Elected to local Government in 1991 I have served on West Sussex County Council, Arun District Council and Rustington Parish Council. I am the former licensee of the Smugglers Roost, retiring from business aged 50 to become involved in public service. I now spends my time devoted to local projects such as the Rustington Museum. I have served as Chairman of Rustington Parish Council and Chairman of Arun District Council.

I am married to Diane; and we have 3 daughters Emma, Katie and Lucy and 4 Grandchildren. As a family we have lived and worked in Rustington for 30 years. I have been actively involved with Round Table, Rotary and now works with adults with learning difficulties.

I was the instigator of the public meetings opposed to the travellers’ transit site and pledge to continue to be actively involved in all issues relating to future community issues. I am still involved with various voluntary works including Governor of Georgian Gardens School and trustee of Home link the Homeless Charity.
